Daring from the 12th century, Stone Bridge replaced a wooden bridge built by Charlemagne. Construction began in 1135 and ran until 1146. For 800 years this remained the only bridge over the Danube at Regensburg. The building on the left is the 16th century Amberg Salt Store.
