Pedesterian bridge over the moat near Spitaltor. The moat is now a park.
The Spitaltor or Spital Gate. The Latin inscription on this newest (16th century) of Rothenburg's gates says "Pax intrantibus, salus exeuntibus” that translates as "Peace to those who enter in, good health to those who leave again.”
Stöberleinsturm (Strolling Tower) dates from 1407-1412 and is on the South wall next to the tithe barn, now the Reichsstadthalle (city government offices). When the gate the tower guards was closed the tower became a storehouse.
